COMPANY HISTORY
East Kent Trim Supplies Ltd are a family run mail order company specialising in rubber seals, sponge seals, carpets, headlining's and vinyl roofs for classic cars. We have been trading since 1976 and were initially based in Wingham, Kent as East Kent Vintage Cars.
We then moved to Worth and became East Kent Trim Supplies Ltd. After many years in Worth, and with an ever expanding product range we moved to our current location in Ashford in November 2013.

We stock many seals for Ford's, Triumph's, Hillman's, Vauxhall's, Austin's, BMW's, Peugeot's and many more and we manufacture many of the seals ourselves. Our product development team are continually designing, manufacturing and bringing into stock seals for different makes of vehicle and we pride ourselves on being one of the most innovative suppliers in an increasingly competitive market, in addition to offering our customers a high quality product founded on our roots in the automotive business going back over 50 years.
We ship worldwide from our warehouse and distribution centre in Ashford, Kent. We attend numerous classic car trade shows throughout the year and are looking forward to celebrating our 50th Anniversary in 2026.

Wendy Calthorpe
Director & Sales Manager
Nursing background but transferred into sales in 2013
Responsibility for Day to Day management of sales and distribution. Wendy also helps out at most of the shows throughout the year. Along with husband Steve, they took over East Kent Trim in September 2023. -
Stephen Calthorpe
Director & Product Manager
Glass Smith for more than 20 years, starting with Everest
Responsibility for day to day management of the warehouse and exhibitions and for new product development. Steve attends all of the trade shows throughout the year. Along with his wife Wendy they took over East Kent Trim from Steve's stepdad Richard in 2023. -
Caroline
Seamstress
Caroline has been with us since Feb 2022 and is responsible for the daily running of the sewing room. Her work is based around making headlinings but she also takes charge of our kick panels and jack bags. Always willing to give anything a try, Caroline is a great asset to the company.

Shana Calthorpe
Seamstress
Shana is the daughter of Wendy and Steve and is responsible for making their range of door cards. Shana joined the company in November 2024 and attends a lot of the shows throughout the year.

Richard Harris
Founder & Former Director
Richard started his working life at British automobile manufacturer Rootes, before founding the company in 1976, which at that time was called East Kent Vintage Cars based in Wingham, Kent.
He moved the company to Worth near Deal where it grew and became East Kent Trim Supplies Ltd before relocating to larger premises in Ashford in November 2013. Richard fully retired in 2023 and sadly passed away in May 2025.
